The deadline for filing your BASIC Star exemption with NY State is 12/31/13. If you had the basic star exemption you would have received a letter from NY State advising you had to renew at their website (www.tax.ny.gov) or by phone at 518-457-2036.
For Senior Citizens (65 & older) receiving the ENHANCED STAR exemption, the Town Assessor will be mailing you your renewals as usual.
If you never had the STAR exemption, you would file your application with the Town Assessor.
The Town Assessor Kathleen Chase is in her office at the Town Hall on Mondays from 3-5 PM.
